Shajro
شجرو
خاندان جو شجرو: the family tree, kept by the family.
A shajra is a family's record of itself. This is ours, gathered in one place: our names, how we are joined to one another, and the small stories that would otherwise be lost.
We keep it so the family holds its own history, and so the people who come after us can find their way back to the people who came before.
What it does
An interactive tree you pan and zoom. Tap anyone to add their father, mother, spouse, children or siblings in one step. Names auto-fill in Sindhi script. Every change goes to a moderation queue before it appears. It answers "how are we related" in the family's own words, and exports the whole tree as GEDCOM 7 so the data can move to any other genealogy tool.
Privacy
Nothing here is public. Only signed-in, invited family members can see the tree. Photos are private, served through short-lived signed links, and a removal request always wins.
Credits
Data, auth and photo storage: Supabase (Postgres, row-level security). Sindhi name spelling: a local dictionary of family-approved spellings, with Google Translate as a fallback for names not yet in it. Kinship terms are seeded and reviewed by family elders. GEDCOM 7 export follows the FamilySearch GEDCOM 7 specification.
